Calendar – Art – A Short History of Photography – July 12

Marquette – A Short History of Photography will be presented by Christine Garceau on Tuesday, July 12 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Marquette Arts and Culture Center on the lower level of the Peter White Public Library.

Discover the incredible world of photography’s history from its beginnings in the 1830s to the “Kodak Girl” in the 1930s and 40s. Students, ages teen to adult, will explore how the first photographic images were invented and how they became what we take for granted today.

Registration is $12 for city residents and $14.50 for non-residents.
