Marquette – An artist’s talk and opening reception for “Hirokazu Fukawa: A Thought at the Edge of the Continent: Manchuria to Siberia 1942-1947” will be held on Friday, February 26 at Northern Michigan University. The talk will begin at 4:30 p.m. in Room 165 of the Art and Design Building, with the reception at 6 p.m. in the DeVos Art Museum.
This new exhibit focuses on the story of Fukawa’s father, who was a sniper in the Japanese army during World War II and will be displayed through Sunday, April 4.
Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
