Marquette – CineArts Films, a series devoted to foreign and independent films, will screen the movie “Pride” on Friday, September 18
at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
“Pride” is inspired by a true story. In the summer of 1984, London-based gay activists help miners in a Welsh village during the lengthy strike of the National Union of Mineworkers. In this feel-good comedy, the two groups discover that standing together makes the strongest union of all.
The film is in English and runs for 119 minutes. Admission is free. For more information, call 226-4309 or visit www.pwpl.info.
