Marquette – DocuMonday will offer a screening the documentary film “The Botany of Desire” on Monday, August 3 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the
Peter White Public Library.
Award winning journalist, Michael Pollan takes viewers on an eye-opening exploration of the human relationship with the plant world as seen from the plants’ point of view. The film shows how four familiar species- the apple, tulip, marijuana and potato-evolved to satisfy our yearnings for sweetness, beauty, intoxication and control.
“The Botany of Desire” was released in 2009, is rated PG and runs for 120 minutes. There is no admission charge.
