Ishpeming – Ishpeming’s Independence Day Celebration will begin with the Firecracker 5K from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. at the Al Quaal Recreation Area in Ishpeming.
A Flag Raising Ceremony and 21 Gun Salute will be held at 9:30 a.m. in Memorial Park (by the Post Office) in downtown Ishpeming.
The Kids’ Bike Parade will be held at 10 a.m. on Bank and Main Streets in downtown Ishpeming. The Ishpeming 4th of July Parade will follow at 10:30 a.m.
The Community Picnic with food, bounce houses, ponies, music, fireworks, and much more will begin at noon at the Al Quaal Recreation Area. Fireworks will begin at dusk.
