Marquette, Michigan – Radio – The Kiwanis Club of Marquette will be holding its annual Chicken BBQ on Sunday, June 7 from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM at Lakeview Arena. The club is celebrating its 59th year of this fundraiser for the club. All proceeds are used to support community projects and agencies including Bay Cliff Health Camp, U.P. Children’s Museum, Noquemanon Trail Network, Janzen House, UP Honor Flight and many more. Tickets are $10 a person which includes a chicken half, baked potato, roll, milk and ice cream. You can dine in, take out, or drive thru. You must have pre-purchased tickets to go through the drive thru.
The Kiwanis Club of Marquette provides over 3,000 community service hours and coordinates the Marquette Fourth of July parade and the Kiddie Mutt Races held in conjunction with the U.P. 200.
Tickets can be purchased thru any Kiwanis member, at any of the following locations: River Valley Bank (1104 W. Washington St.), Lake Superior Community Partnership (501 S. Front St.), First National Trust & Wealth Management (3165 Wright St.) or at the door.
