Calendar – Music – NMU Percussion Ensemble Concert – Apr. 11

Marquette – The Northern Michigan University Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of James A. Strain, will present the concert “Around the World in 60 Minutes” on Saturday, April 11 at 3 p.m. in Reynolds Recital Hall on the NMU campus.

The concert will feature music from Africa, Brazil, Mexico, Japan and the United States. The ensemble is comprised of NMU students who perform on numerous kinds of drums, vibes, xylophones and other percussion instruments from around the world, often indigenous to specific cultures. Admission is free.
