Marquette Downtown Ski and Snowboard Rail Jam Call for Participants

Marquette, MI-January 20, 2015 -The Marquette Downtown Development Authority is calling for participants for the 3rd annual Downtown Showdown Rail Jam in Marquette on February 21st.

Athletes will be able to participate in an Open Jam from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Those wishing to compete for up to $1,500 in cash prizes have the option to be part of the Ski Rail Jam at 6 p.m. or the Snowboard Rail Jam at 7 p.m., with Ski and Snowboard Finals held under the lights at 8 p.m.

Competitors can register on the web at www.downtownmarquette.org/downtown-showdown-rail-jam. Those registered by February 13 will be entered to win a GoProHero3+ valued at $299. The registration fee to participate in the Ski and Snowboard Rail Jam is $40 per rider until February 19. The Open Jam registration fee is $20. Registration at the event on February 21 will be cash or check only; prices will go up to $25 for Open Jam and $50 for the Ski or Snowboard Rail Jam.
