(Marquette, Michigan) – The sport of Frisbee goes back nearly 50 years in Marquette and the city was designated an official Frisbee Sanctuary back in 1975 by Wham-O Manufacturing Co. the maker of the Frisbee. Recently a new disc golf course has opened with a second course potentially on the way. The annual Guts Frisbee Tournament is growing in popularity. Steve DesJardins will take a historical look back on the sport. We will pay tribute to local Frisbee activist Craig “Buck” Buchanan, who recently passed away.
