Marquette – A Chili Cook-off and Benefit for John Althouse will be held on Sunday, November 30 beginning at 3 p.m. at the Wooden Nickel on Presque Isle Avenue in Marquette.
The chili cook-off begins at 3 p.m. Enter a crockpot of your favorite chili or just come and eat for $5 and a vote for the best chili. There will also be 50/50 raffles throughout the day. Live music will be provided by Last Chance from 8 to 11 p.m.
All proceeds from the chili cook-off and 25% of the bar sales from 3 to 9 p.m. will be donated to the family of John Althouse, who is recovering from a massive stroke.
