Marquette – The psychology colloquium titled “Choice Amount and Choice-Making in Children: A Comparison of Children With and Without Symptoms of ADHD” with faculty candidate Liesa Klein will be offered on Friday, November 14 at 3 p.m. Friday in 167 Gries Hall at Northern Michigan University.
The use of choice and choice interventions are used in educational settings, but the negative impact–the choice overload hypothesis–has yet to be examined in children. It could have further implications for children with ADHD who exhibit deficits in executive functioning. Klein will present findings from her research on the occurrence of choice overload within children and differential choice behavior of children with and without symptoms of ADHD.
The event is free and open to the public.
