Gwinn Middle School Students To Enjoy Locally Grown Apples

Students and staff at Gwinn Middle School will be enjoying freshly grown Upper Peninsula apples at noon on Friday, October 24th in the school cafeteria. The apples are coming from Kim Cain’s farm in Big Bay, Michigan.

As a part of food day, students and staff will partake in the nationwide movement to enjoy healthy, affordable and sustainable food. This activity also supports the “Farm to School” initiative which the Gwinn Area Community Schools has been a part of since the beginning.

Please contact Barbie Ward-Thomas, Food Service Director, at 346-0313.
