Marquette – The Marquette Astronomical Society will set up telescopes on Friday, October 3 from 8 to 11 p.m. at the Kaufman Sports Complex soccer field on Hawley Street in Marquette.
Telescopes will be setup near the end of the parking lot for the viewing of the Waxing Gibbous Moon, Mars, a galaxy, star clusters and double stars.
Those attending may bring a telescope or binoculars and the Astronomy iPhone application. Maps of the Moon with its current phase and features will be provided. Please park in the spaces near Hawley Street and walk to where the scopes are set up to avoid car light glare.
If the sky is cloudy, the event will be postphoned until Saturday night.
