Marquette – Northern Michigan University archivist Marcus Robyns will present “Blood on the Table: The Battle for Shared Governance” on Wednesday, September 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. in room 126 of the Learning Resources Center at NMU.
Robyns will address the sometimes-tumultuous relationship between former NMU president John X. Jamrich and the faculty at a time when some faculty members felt unfairly barricaded from academic governing. Topics include collective bargaining rights, contract negotiations and the role of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP).
