Marquette – Let’s Talk About It: Muslim Journeys will offer “The Crusades: Militant Faith,” taught by Dr. Keith H. Kendall, faculty member of the Northern Michigan University’s History Department. This course will meets on 4 consecutive Thursdays from October 2 through October 23 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Dr. Kendall’s course on the Crusades exams the motives and events of the Crusades, how medieval Christians expanded the scope of crusading and how various groups in the 20th and 21st centuries have use the idea of “crusade” in the conflicts in the middle East.
