September Exhibit: Burden Of Place

(Marquette, Michigan) – September 1, 2014 – The City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center announces its September exhibition: Burden of Place by Russell Thorburn and Sons. Russell Thorburn, a poet-in-resident for 12 years in the Upper Peninsula Schools, and U.P. Poet Laureate, will have a collect of poetry on exhibit accompanied by photographs taken by his sons.

Christopher Thorburn is a Michigan State University student studying bio chemistry. Michael Thorburn is a Marquette Senior High school student; he is also a published poet.

The show will be running from Sept. 1 to Sept. 28, and there will be an artist reception on Thursday, Sept. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m.
