Marquette – Shakespeare Readers will meet for a reading of “The Tragical History of the Life and Death of Doctor Faustus,” by Shakespeare contemporary Christopher Marlowe, on Wednesday, August 6 at 6:30 pm. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.
The play is based on the German story of Faust, in which a man sells his soul to the
devil for power and knowledge. Shakespeare Readers are focusing on contemporaries of William Shakespeare this summer in order to better understand the work of the Bard himself. New readers are always welcome.
