Ishpeming – The Ishpeming Rock and Mineral Club will meet on Sunday, May 16 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cliffs Shaft Mine Museum, 501 W. Euclid Street, Ishpeming.
Featured will be a PowerPoint presentation on ore and gangue minerals in the U.P. by geologist Rodney Johnson of Negaunee. He also will discuss other minerals in the U.P., Midwest and Canada.
A silent auction of mineral specimens and a business meeting will follow. Agate is the mineral of the month; members will display specimens. For information, call 228-9422.
