Marquette – The Building Hope in Uncertain Times book study will meet to examine “Section 2: Dark Before the Dawn of the Impossible Will Take a Little While” edited by Paul Rogat Loeb, on Wednesday, October 14 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Dr. Frances O’Neill, NMU educator, facilitates this month’s discussion which will explore how we can draw strength from the uncertainty of our efforts, learn perseverance from the gay rights movement’s successes and Mandela’s imprisonment on Robben Island, the value of seeming futile actions and how a handful of people launched a national resistance campaign to the Keystone XL pipeline.
Participants are encouraged to read the chapter before attending the book discussion but all are encouraged to join in, regardless. The book is available through your public library, local bookstore and online.
