Rave Run

Join the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce on August 23rd for the Northern Lights Rave Run 5K and Kids’ 1K! This glow-in-the-dark run will be held at Al Quaal Recreation Area in Ishpeming and will light up the night.

Run through neon forest trails and finish the race running into a tent filled with dance music, a light show, and lots of family fun. You can run or walk the course; all ages and all athletic abilities are welcome!

Before the races begin, there will be a picnic festival with games like frisbee golf and chip-in to win with a chance to win prizes, including glow swag to use in the race, AND you’ll be able to try and conquer the Mud Plunge quarter pipe obstacle; make it up the obstacle, and you’ll get a chance to win a Tablet!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
6PM – Picnic Festival beings
8PM – Kids’ Run begins
9PM – 5K begins

All runners will receive a goodie bag and a neon dry-wicking t-shirt with a glow-in-the-dark Rave Run logo — a unique race shirt you’ll be proud to have.

Don’t want to run alone? Get a team together! We have expanded the size of teams this year to include either 4, 5, or 6 people. Have co-workers who want to run the race with you? Get a business team together! Have kids who want to run it with their friends? Kids’ teams are also expanded this year to 4, 5, or 6 people!

TRADE THE MUD FOR NEON, AND YOU’RE GOOD TO GLOW!

Please note, there is no Mud Plunge this year. This event has taken its place. We understand this may disappoint previous participants, and for that we apologize. However, we hope you’ll join us in August
