NCLL Hosts Oregon Trail Presentation – 5/3/17

Marquette, MIMay 2, 2017 – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will host a presentation about the Oregon Trail from 12:15-1:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at the Negaunee Senior Center. There will also be an optional lunch at 11 a.m.

Researcher and author Robert Dobson, who has traveled the Oregon Trail four times, will lead the presentation. He will share diary excerpts, interactions with Native Americans, maps and photos of wagons and equipment, the hardships of the trail itself and the influence of weather and disease.

The cost is $3 for NCLL members and $8 for non-members. The Negaunee Senior Center is located at 410 Jackson St. in Negaunee. For more information, contact Carole Bard at 228-9367. Register before Tuesday, April 25, by calling 227-2979 or emailing ncll@nmu.edu.
