Ishpeming – Speed the Light 5K/10K Glow Run will be held on Friday, August 1 from 7:30 to 11 p.m. at Good News Assembly of God on U.S. 41 in Ishpeming.
This is a family friendly event for all ages. The race starts at the church parking lot in a party zone. Some glow items will be provided, but don’t forget to come decked out in your glow items (glow sticks, glow paint, etc.). You be given a t-shirt to wear during the race on race day. wear. Wear clothing that you would be fine with getting glow paint or other glow items on.
Along your route there will be a party zone where you will be illuminated with black lights and pumping tunes will be playing to keep you moving. The finish will be one big party with a light show, black lights, glow sticks and music.
This is a fundraiser geared toward raising money for Speed the Light, a missions organization that provides vehicles to get children out of the sex trade and drilling wells for fresh water in 3rd world countries.
