Marquette – Craft beer tasting, snacks, silent and live auctions, and an enjoyable night will be the focal points of an event hosted by the Marquette-Alger Great Start Collaborative on Thursday, August 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Upfront and Company in Marquette.
All proceeds from the event will be used to support safe sleep practices for infants. Funds will be used to purchase Halo Sleep Sacks and cribs for new moms in Marquette and Alger Counties that may need them. The MAGSC will also invest in printed and other media types of information for new parents on the importance of safe sleep.
Participants will have the opportunity to taste several varieties of craft beer made in Michigan and light hors devours will be served. The event will also feature live and silent auctions with many items including Golf package at Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine Florida, a $1500 advertising package from TV 6, Handmade UP wood pens, sterling silver bangle bracelet with crystal beads from Richardson Jewelers, Glass Bottom Boat Tour tickets, Pictured Rocks Boat Tour tickets and more! There will also be an art auction featuring drawings by local VIPs.
