Bluesday Tuesday Concert: Flat Broke Blues Band – April 29th at PWPL

MARQUETTE, MICHIGAN – Enjoy local favorite Flat Broke Blues Band in concert on Tuesday, April 29 at 7:00 pm in the Peter White Public Library community room.

The live show will include discussion of various musical facets of the songs the band performs, including rhythm style, chord quality, rhythmic and melodic solos, bass line style, etc. – tidbits that will inform listeners of various qualities that “make a blues song.”

Marquette based Flat Broke Blues Band has been playing clubs, festivals and concerts around the Upper Great Lakes region for well over a decade. The band features original members guitarist/vocalist Walt Lindala and bassist/vocalist Mark Johnson. Flat Broke’s stellar lineup also includes guitarist/vocalist Mike Letts, drummer Jim Cohen and lead vocalist/harmonica player Lorrie Hayes.

There is no admission charge to attend the concert which is sponsored by the Marquette Area Blues Society and the Carroll Paul Memorial Trust Fund of the Peter White Public Library. Call 226-4318 or visit www.pwpl.info for more information.
