A stakeholders meeting will take place on April 16, 2014 at 9AM for the Upper Peninsula Freight Rail Study. The meeting will be in the Ontario Room at Northern Michigan University, Marquette, Michigan.
This meeting will be combined with an introduction to the new State of Michigan “Commission for Logistics and Supply Chain Collaboration” and a discussion of supply chains and economic development.
The tentative agenda for the meeting is below:
9-10:15 a.m. – Presentation on the Upper Peninsula Freight (Rail) Study (Michigan Tech Rail Transportation Program)
10:15-10:30 a.m. – Brief Introduction to the “Commission for Logistics and Supply Chain Collaboration”, (Pasi Lautala, Director, Rail Transportation Program, Michigan Tech)
10:30-11:30 a.m. – A discussion on the importance of private industry participation in UP Economic Development surveys and initiatives (Robert Eslinger, Special Assistant to the President for Economic Development, Center for Rural Community and Economic Development, NMU)
The Ontario Room is located in the University Center on the Northern Michigan University campus.
