NMU Theater Presents ‘She Kills Monsters’ April 16 – 18

MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University’s theater program will present a production of She Kills Monsters by award-winning playwright Qui Nguyen. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, through Saturday, April 19, with an additional matinee at 1 p.m. Saturday.

The production is about Agnes, a young girl who leaves home after the death of her sister, Tilly. When Agnes finds her sister’s Dungeons and Dragons notebook, she learns she must journey to save Tilly’s soul. Along the way, Agnes crosses paths with homicidal fairies, cranky ogres and demons.

NMU professor Shelley Russell of the communications and performance studies department will direct the production. Tickets are $10 for students with an NMU ID and $15 for the general public. They may be purchased at any NMU EZ Ticket vendor.
