Facebook Page Create for Public Input on Baraga Avenue Development

MARQUETTE, MICHIGAN – A Baraga Avenue Visioning Session was held last Thursday, March 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Marquette Commons.

For those who were unable to attend the Baraga Avenue Visioning Session a Facebook Page has been created to temporarily capture any thoughts, comments, or opinions regarding future development and design of Baraga Avenue. Please visit the Facebook page and share it with other interested individuals in the community.

The Marquette Downtown Development Authority recently received a MI Place Plan initiative grant for redesign assistance to Baraga Avenue. The MI Place Plan team is a collaboration between the Michigan Municipal League (MML), the MSU Urban and Regional Planning Program, and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA). The project parameters are Baraga Avenue from Third Street to Lakeshore Boulevard.
