Anti-Bullying Art Contest Winners Named

MARQUETTE, Mich. – The top three award winners have been announced for a recent anti-bullying art exhibit at Northern Michigan University titled “Sticks and Stones.” The works showcased in the Student Art Gallery were entries in a contest associated with NMU’s campaign to raise awareness of bullying on college campuses.

The contest was open to NMU students from any major using any medium. First place went to Nina Lehto of Hancock with her piece, “Safe Inside.” Nicolette Chastain of Highland was second with “Adhesive” and Brianna Cousins of Grand Rapids third with “Take a Stand.” All received cash prizes.
