Michiganders may be beginning to feel like winter will never end, but spring is right around the corner and it’s not too early to start thinking of camping season! The online reservation system for Michigan state parks and harbors is now accepting reservations through August 2014. Reservations can be made online at www.midnrreservations.com, or by calling 1-800-4PARKS (1-800-447-2757).
The DNR switched to a new and improved campground reservation system on November 1, 2013. The new system features site-specific reservations all season long, broader search capabilities and photos of each campsite. Reservations are available within a six-month window, so if you haven’t checked out the new system, log on and see what’s new, and make sure to make your reservations well in advance.
