GUTS Frisbee: Marquette National Championship Review

Over the weekend, the GUTS Frisbee National Championship went down with intensity. There were some impressive teams out there, but there could be only one winner. Over the multi-day tournament, teams went head to head to see who had the most GUTS to win. The results are below:
Congratulations to the Shottle Bop Guts Frisbee team on their third strait tournament win of the summer by taking first in the US Nationals in Marquette over the weekend.
Runners up were Wolf Pack (Marquette), third place were UP Hardwoods (Marquette) and fourth went to Blame the Dog (WI and UP mix)

The first GUTS Frisbee National tournament was held in Marquette, MI in 1976. This return of the tournament is an extension of the legacy. Patrons and players alike both intend to continue this legacy. There was even a kids team banded together. They hope to play in the tournament next year.
The history of GUTS in the U.P. is rich, and from the public’s response, we expect to see an increase in interest of the sport and its return to the mainstream in Marquette.
