The exhibit showcases entries from NMU’s first-ever anti-bullying art contest, a component of the university’s informational campaign to raise awareness of bullying on college campuses.

The Student Art Gallery is located in the University Center. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Admission is free.

The contest was open to NMU students from any major using any medium. First place went to Nina Lehto of Hancock with her piece, “Safe Inside.” Nicolette Chastain of Highland was second with “Adhesive” and Brianna Cousins of Grand Rapids was third with “Take a Stand.” A viewer’s choice award winner will be selected by viewers of the exhibit.
