Marquette – Steve Waller will tell the life story of famed naturalist John Muir in a one-man performance on Thursday, January 16 at 7 p.m. in 105 Cohodas Hall at Northern Michigan University’s Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center.
Waller lives in a solar- and wind-powered home north of Marquette. Muir was a self-taught Wisconsin farm boy who became a renowned and influential activist, preservationist, writer and co-founder of the Sierra Club.
This will be the closing event for the center’s exhibition titled “U.P. Mosaic: A working landscape for its people.” Admission is free, with donations encouraged.
