Marquette – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer a program on Room at the Inn, Marquette’s homeless shelter, on Wednesday, September 15 at 1:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Marquette.
Presenters Helen McCormick, founder of the shelter program, and social worker Robin Roy will discuss the 13 churches that serve as Marquette’s homeless shelter. They will also reflect on the homeless situation before Room at the Inn existed, how the project came about and the overall structure and guidelines for the participating homeless.
