Negaunee– The annual Heikki Lunta Winterfest will be held on Saturday, January 18 on and around Negaunee’s Teal Lake.
Heikki Lunta is a legendary Finnish snow god who is said to have the ability to perform a dance causing snow fall.
Schedule of events:
Fishing Derby – 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Craft Bazaar and Soup Luncheon – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Fishing Derby Awards – 3 pm. at Pasquali’s
Bonfire on shore of Teal Lake – 5 p.m.
Fireworks will be launched in the open field to the west of the Negaunee High School Pool Building – 7 p.m.
