Marquette – Readers Theater will meet for a reading of “The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe” by Jane Wagner on Thursday, January 16 at 7 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Written as a vehicle for Lily Tomlin, this satire delivers a comic and painful dose of truth. Trudy the bag lady, tries to explain modern American material society to an alien committee.
Readers Theater is a group of adults, who are interested in drama and are willing and able to read a scripted role. They meet on the third Thursday of each month to read plays for enjoyment. New readers are always welcome.
