MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will hold its “Sea to Sky” winter kickoff from 6:30-9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, in the Peter White Public Library Community Room. Participants will be able to build their own trifle and then see a presentation by local sea kayak instructor Sam Crowley about his 2013 adventures.
Crowley went sea kayaking in Gweii Hanass, a group of islands in northern British Columbia. He will also share his hiking and backpacking experiences at Glacier National Park in Montana.
This event is free for NCLL members and $5 for non-members. Pre-register by Friday, Jan. 3, by calling 227-2979.
