Calendar – Education – “Death’s Door” Author Presentation – Dec. 7

Marquette – Commemorating the 100th anniversary of Calumet’s Italian Hall Disaster, author Steve Lehto will give a talk on Saturday, December 7 at 3 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.

Lehto’s book Death’s Door is the true account of the tragedy that struck the Michigan copper mining town during a time when a bitter struggle raged between the striking workers and the mining companies. This haunting story continues to be an unsolved mystery today. “Death’s Door” was names a Michigan Notable Book in 2007.
