Marquette – CineArts Films will show “Hyde Park on the Hudson” on Friday, October 18 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
This story of the love affair between FDR and his distant cousin Margaret Daisy Suckley recounts the weekend in 1939 when King George VI and Queen Elizabeth visited upstate New York hoping to secure American support against Nazi Germany. This was the first visit of an English monarch to a sitting U.S. president.
