Marquette – The Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center, Department of History, and the NMU History Club History Film Series will screen “Ohm Kruger” on Monday, March 7 at 7 p.m. in Mead Auditorium on the NMU campus.
Dr. Robbie Goodrich, faculty member of the Department of History, will do an introduction to the film and lead a discussion afterwards. “Ohm Krüger” was released in 1941 and was created by the Josef Goebbel’s Nazi propaganda machine. It is a rousing biopic of Paul Kruger, the Boer guerilla fighter turned statesman and first president of South Africa.
Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
