(Marquette, MI) — The City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center is proud to announce the 100 Day Project as October’s exhibit. This exhibit will be a collection of artwork created over 100 consecutive days by nine Upper Michigan artists. Gallery visitors will see how each artist worked with a simple idea and the evolution of it over a period of 100 days. The exhibit offers a glimpse into the artists’ minds and their creative process.
The artists participating are Louisa Barkalow, Catherine Benda, Julie Benda, Jason Limberg, Melissa Middleton, Diana Magnuson, Peg McNinch, Ann Russ, and Elizabeth Yelland.
The 100 Day Project will be displayed in the lower level of the Peter White Public Library in the new Small Works Gallery and the Main Gallery from October 1-November 15 with an opening reception on Saturday, October 5 at 4-7p.m. with a special artists talk at 5p.m.
This exhibit is unique to the MACC because it offers an opportunity for the community to get involved by starting their own 100 Day Project. The public is encouraged to attend an informational meeting at the MACC on Saturday, October 12 at 1-4p.m.
