The dates have been set for Ishpeming’s traditional Hall of Fame Weekend. Mark September 13th-15th on your calendars and plan to be in Ishpeming! This is a very special time when the newest class is presented to the community that is the “birthplace of organized skiing in America.” The highlight is the Placement Ceremony when each inductee places their photo tribute plaque in the Hall of Fame’s Honor Court.The Placement Ceremony is open to the public and free of charge. It will be held at the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame in Ishpeming on Friday, September 13th.

Also on Friday at the Hall of Fame, a Ski Jumpers’ Reunion barbeque will be held beginning at 5pm.

Tickets for Saturday, September 14th events:

Kiwanis Breakfast: $5, 8:30AM at KD Hall/St. Johns Church

SJ Reunion Golf: $35.00, 12PM, shotgun start, Wawonowin Country Club

Banquet only: $35.00, 6PM at Country Village Banquet and Conference Center

Golf and Banquet: $50.00, includes all events except Kiwanis breakfast

Tickets can be ordered online or at the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame, located at the corner of Second Street and U.S. Hwy 41, Ishpeming. Tickets for the Kiwanis Breakfast can also be purchased at the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce.

FULL WEEKEND SCHEDULE

Friday, September 13th:
5PM – Ski Jumpers Reunion Welcome Reception and BBQ at the Hall of Fame
7PM – Class of 2012 Induction/Placement Ceremonies at the Hall of Fame
* Afterglow Reception immediately following the Placement Ceremony at the Hall of Fame

Saturday, September 14th:
8:30AM – 40th Annual Kiwanis Ski Breakfast at KD Hall located in St. Johns Church, Ishpeming; breakfast tickets are $5 per person and are available at the Hall of Fame and the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce. Breakfast tickets are not part of the combined ticket.
12PM – Coy Hill Memorial Golf Outing at Wawonowin Country Club; $35 per person, includes cart.
6PM – Carl Tellefsen Banquet and Silent Auction at Country Village Banquet and Conference Center; $35 per person.

All Event Ticket (does not include breakfast): $50 per person
