Ishpeming – The Jerry Hebert Benefit will be held September 21 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Ishpeming Armory. Jerry is a local fire fighter and 911 dispatcher from Ishpeming. He has been diagnosed with Asbestosis, otherwise known as Armored Lung.
It is caused by exposure to asbestos and there is no cure.
There will be a spaghetti dinner, auctions, a bake sale, and door prizes. The event will also include music and performances by the Westwood High School Dance Team.
