(Marquette, MI) — Fall Flicks hosts a screening of “The Impossible” on Thursday, September 19 at 5:30 pm in the Peter White Public Library Community Room.
Maria, Henry and their three sons begin their winter vacation in Thailand, looking forward to a few days in tropical paradise. But on the morning of December 26th, as the family relaxes around the pool after their Christmas festivities the night before, a terrifying roar rises up from the center of the earth. As Maria, played by Oscar nominee Naomi Watts, freezes in fear, a huge wall of black water races across the hotel grounds toward her. This film is the unforgettable account of a family caught, with tens of thousands of strangers, in the mayhem of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
Costarring Ewan McGregor, “The Impossible” was released in January 2013, is rated PG-13 and runs for 114 minutes.
Fall Flicks invites the public to bring their own takeout supper and enjoy this recently released feature film in a dinner theater setting.
There is no admission charge thanks to sponsorship by the Friends of the Peter White Public Library. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
