Marquette – The Marquette City Band will offer the concert “A Musical Potpourri,” on Thursday, August 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Presque Isle Park bandshell in Marquette.
Guest conductor is Gordon Erickson of Westwood High School and bassoon soloist Kaylee Whitfield will be featured playing the first movement of von Weber’s “Bassoon Concerto.”
Other musical works will include “Espana Cani,” “Praeludium,” “American Riversongs,” “Second Suite in F” and “The Pioneers March” by local businessman Eino Olander.
