Marquette – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer the last of its three-hike program along the newly completed Iron Ore Heritage Trail on Thursday, August 29 at 9 a.m. from Bagdad Pond to Walgreen’s Drug Store.
Participants will meet at the east end of the Marquette Salvation Army parking lot, next to the U.P. Catholic Credit Union building. At the conclusion of the hike participants will be driven back to the Salvation Army starting point.
This class is free for NCLL members and $5 for non-members. Register by email at ncll@nmu.edu or by calling 227-2979 by Monday, August 19. In case of rain the alternate day for the hike is Friday, August 30. Participants are asked to dress for the weather and to wear appropriate footwear as part of the trail unsurfaced.
