Marquette – MooseWood Nature Center will sponsor a candlelight ski and snowshoe fundraiser on Saturday, March 6 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Presque Isle Park. Snowshoes will be available for rent. Trails close at 10 p.m.
Participants will hike, snowshoe or ski through the Presque Isle trails, which will be lit by candle luminaries. Winter treats will be provided at several stations. Local astronomers will be on hand to help identify constellations. Hot chocolate and appetizers will be served in the nature center, and information on MooseWood activities will be shared.
Door prizes will be offered. Tickets cost $5 for children, $10 for adults and $25 per family. Tickets are available at MooseWood, Mares-Z-Doats, the Marquette Food Co-Op, and from MooseWood staff and board members. Tickets will also be sold at the event.
