Michigan State Highway 28 Will Be Closed from July 29 through October 18

HARVEY, Mi – One lane of Michigan State Highway 28 will be closed from July 29 through October 18, one mile east of the U.S. 41/M-28 intersection for maintenance on an overhead recreational-trail bridge.

Traffic flow will be maintained on the open lane with a portable traffic light (green, yellow, and red lights) that automatically conducts timed stop-and-go traffic control for motorists traveling in both directions.

The overhead bridge will be painted during the lane closure. The recreational trail that the bridge serves will also be closed for the duration of the project.

Work on the project is being funded by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
