
Marquette, Michigan – Bluesday Tuesday welcomes local band, U.P. Gumbo, in a live concert on Tuesday, June 25 at 7:00 pm in the Peter White Public Library Community Room.
U.P. Gumbo is a Marquette based folk group specializing in the dance
music of the Mississippi Delta and the New Orleans region. Their music is infused with the sounds of the Delta Blues, Zydeco and early rock and roll. Its band members are all long-time legends of the Marquette music scene, including Bill Hart on resophonic guitar
and vocals; Dan Flesher on upright bass and vocals; Warren Hantz on keyboards, dobro and banjo; and Randy “Da Bones Man” Seppala on percussion.
There is no admission charge to attend the event which is o-sponsored
by the Marquette Area Blues Society and the Carroll Paul Memorial
Trust Fund of the Peter White Public Library.
