Marquette – In conjunction with many guilds, a Fiber Festival will be held on Saturday, October 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Marquette Regional History Center, 145 W. Spring Street in Marquette.
The event will feature 10 demonstration sessions including weaving, quilting, embroidery and knitting. There will be a fine works display from each guild and items for sale as well. The Center will show a selection of fiber artifacts from the permanent collection. There will be door prizes and a kids corner with hands-on make-and-take activities.
This event is included with regular Museum admission: $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $3 for students, and $2for children 12 and under. For more information, visit marquettehistory.org or call 226-3571.
