MARQUETTE, Mich – Two memorial celebrations have been arranged
for Monica Matus, the Northern Michigan University senior art and
design-secondary education major from Chicago who died last week (April 5).
A memorial service that includes sharing memories, poems and
songs will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home (526 N. Third Street, Marquette).
A sunrise flower petal ceremony will take place at 8 a.m. Thursday, April 11, at McCarty’s Cove. The event will begin at the Coast Guard Lighthouse (519 N. Lakeshore Boulevard, Marquette).
